Hi there! I am Elena, the founder of Schuller Counselling. My passion is to support individuals, couples and families to rebuild and maintain healthy relationships and improve overall wellbeing. My philosophy is that healthy relationships impact one’s overall wellbeing  while one’s overall wellbeing affects relationship dynamics.

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the BC College of Social Workers (BCCSW) and Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSSSSW). I hold a Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) from Dalhousie University and use a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (CDT), Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy and The Gottman Method Couples Therapy to help you develop a treatment plan that best fit your needs.

After experiencing unhealthy relationships as a child and adult, I have dedicated my time to studying to understand relationships. Hence, I have worked on myself as individual, partner and parent, and started helping others to make sense of relationship difficulties and negative patterns, improve communication and address conflict, set up healthy boundaries, build a better partnership, rebuild trust, friendship and intimacy, improving overall mental wellbeing.

At Schuller Counselling, we understand that working with a social worker/counsellor about one’s experiences is not an easy journey.  We believe that each individual, couple and family hold unique strengths and resources, and that through collaborative interactions, they can expect to be supported, validated, empowered and respected.

You’ll be guided to break free from negative patterns, and enjoy healthy and lasting relationships, improve your overall mental wellbeing.

Elena understands that working with a counsellor about one’s experiences is not easy. She believes that each individual and family hold unique strengths and resources. Through collaborative interactions, individuals can expect to be challenged during the counselling relationship, but they can also expect to be supported, validated, empowered and respected. Therefore, counselling is a journey of self-discovery.

I offer confidential and professional virtual and in person counselling to individuals, couples and families. I am an approved ICBC and FNHA provider.

Anything is possible when you choose hope
