Elena

Elena is a Registered Social Worker with the BC College of Social Workers (BCCSW). She holds a Master of Social Degree (MSW) from Dalhousie University. She uses a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy and The Gottman Method Couples Therapy to help you develop a treatment plan that best fit your needs. 

Elena supports individuals manage depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, interpersonal conflict, anger, grief, and loss. She helps couples improve their relationship, have a better relationship, build a better partnership, better managing conflict, make sense of relationship difficulties and negative patterns, and move through and beyond them. From a psychosocial perspective, Elena provides support to families with parenting concerns issues

Elena understands that working with a counsellor about one’s experiences is not easy. She believes that each individual and family hold unique strengths and resources. Through collaborative interactions, individuals can expect to be challenged during the counselling relationship, but they can also expect to be supported, validated, empowered and respected. Therefore, counselling is a journey of self-discovery.
